xxxx389 - We are seeking an organized, results-oriented leader to be General Manager/Sales Director, responsible for the overall strategic direction and day-to-day sales and operations of Action Reporter Media . T he GM/Sales Director will manage the company’s financial performance through top-line revenue growth and expense control.  Reports to Midwest Group Vice President. Responsibilities : Achieve financial objectives, including top-line revenues, expenses and operating profit while adhering to Gannett’s financial guidelines, policies and procedures. Lead the advertising sales team, to develop a strong, well-trained sales staff, audience-based sales strategies, and realistic and attainable projections, with the goal of meeting/exceeding budget. Direct and manage the site’s strategic and communication plans/processes and communicate regularly with the leadership and staff. Build relationships/promote Action Reporter Media in the community with local businesses and consumers and develop strategic partnerships. Lead the executive team in building a World Class Sales Organization, providing relevant content to specific audiences in a platform-perfect way and provides a culture that recruits and retains the “best and brightest” workforce. Align local and centralized efforts through seamless communication, operational planning and budgeting, capital planning, strategic planning. Ensure high quality standards and quality control. Qualifications : Minimum of five years experience in a similar leadership position and/or an advertising/ marketing management role. Bachelor’s degree or higher. A history of successful leadership, innovation and goal achievement in a multimedia company.
